Where Do I Come From?

‘…just a tender sense of my own inner process, that holds something of my connection with the Divine.’

~ Percy Bysshe Shelley

This is a wonderful question and one that essentially establishes the very foundation on which we stand. It is in recognizing, knowing with absolute certainty the answer to this question that we build and live our lives upon in our True Power and Confidence.

How can we know with certainty or without a doubt? I say it again.

Ask.

Who do you ask? The one who’s asking.

Yourself.

Really Listen. Pay Attention to the Voice within.

I asked because I really wanted to know the answer to this question. And I can only share with you what I was shown and ask you that before reading on you would pause and ask for Divine guidance and Wisdom to glean or take from this what is useful to the answering of this question you may be asking, so you may gain your own understanding of this question’s answer.

What is the idea behind the question being asked here, really? I tend to look at things backwards so let’s start at the end and work forwards. Look at the words ‘come from’. We use this in our language regularly. I understand it to mean as in a starting point, reference point or a place or a process of origin.

A beginning point of someone or something or somewhere.

This leads to another question. Where do I begin? What does ‘where’ mean?

I understand it to mean in what place. So now, putting these pieces of this question together I can phrase this question as this;

In what place do I originate? Where am I from and where am I going? Where is my place of birth or beginning?

We can see Spiritual Truth expressed in this earthly picture.

All children at some point ask, ‘Where do babies come from, where did I come from?’ When my daughter at age two first asked me this, I said while pointing to my tummy, ‘Right here, all babies come from here.’ That was enough for a two year of age to know while looking at her newborn sister. I wouldn’t be able to get away with that answer now believe me. I do however have the opportunity to express my answer differently with my grandchildren.

‘When I think of Love, well, here you are.’

So let’s leave early childish ways of thinking behind just for a moment and advance to a more child like understanding. Let’s climb the tree to get another view of this picture.

In the Tao Te Ching of Lao Tzu, as translated by Brian Browne Walker, it says;

Tao gives life to all beings.

Nature nourishes them.

Fellow creatures shape them.

Circumstances complete them.

Everything in existence respects Tao

and honors nature ——

not by decree, but spontaneously.

Tao gives life to all beings.

Nature watches over them,

develops them,

shelters them,

nurses them,

grows them,

ripens them,

completes them,

buries them,

and returns them.

Giving birth,

nourishing life,

shaping things without possessing them,

serving without expectation of reward,

leading without dominating:

These are the profound virtues of nature,

and of nature’s best things.

Tao means formless, exists since the beginning, having no beginning or end. H mm..Kinda sounds like an Asian idea of God to me.

God is Love. God is Eternal, Immortal, Universal and Infinite, and what God is, is Beautiful. Without beginning or end. Un-derived Source. All creation returns home from where they set out from In the Beginning. Love is where we come from. I can’t change God. God is unchangeable or immutable in Its Nature. So what I am hearing is that I come from God, made in Gods likeness. My hometown or city of my birth is withIn God.

So my answer is given even while I am asking.

Where Do I Come From?

I heard that Truth can be said forwards and backwards …

A little something to tuck into your pocket and play with today.

I come from God or God I come from.
